Anthropic Market Cap: $965B Now, Up to $2T at the IPO

Anthropic has no market cap yet, because its shares do not trade. Its last price was $965 billion, set by the Series H on May 28, 2026. Reports put the Nasdaq IPO between $1.5 trillion and $2 trillion, with trading expected before November 26. At $2 trillion, Anthropic would be worth about twice 35 listed SaaS companies combined. At $1.5 trillion, about 1.6 times.

On October 30, 2026 I posted on LinkedIn the chart behind that comparison, rebuilt from a chart by @SergeyCYW: SAP, Salesforce, Adobe and 32 other SaaS stocks against one private company. Below is every number in the chart with its source, the Anthropic figures checked against

What Is Anthropic's Market Cap in 2026?

Anthropic's market cap does not exist until its first trading day. A market cap is share price times shares outstanding, and Anthropic is still private. What exists is a valuation: the price investors paid in the last round, and the price bankers are testing for the IPO. The numbers have moved fast: $380 billion in February, $965 billion in May, $1.5 trillion to $2 trillion expected in November.

So when you read "Anthropic is worth $2 trillion", read it as an estimate. It is the figure my chart uses, and the footer says so. It could move either way once a price range is set.

Some investors already talk about $1.5 trillion, Reuters reported on October 15. Q3 revenue grew 45% over Q2, after more than doubling the quarter before, and 24/7 Wall St. read the lower figure as the price of that slowdown. The gap between $965 billion and $2 trillion is a trillion dollars of bets that nobody has priced yet.

Is Anthropic Worth More Than 35 SaaS Companies Combined?

Yes, at the top of the IPO range. $2 trillion is 2.1 times the $948 billion the chart gives for the 35 SaaS stocks. At $1.5 trillion it is 1.6 times. Even at the $965 billion of the last round, Anthropic was already level with all 35 together. The 35 include SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Adobe, Intuit, Workday, Zoom, Veeva, Atlassian and 26 smaller names.

Bar chart comparing Anthropic's estimated $2.0 trillion valuation with $948 billion for 35 SaaS companies combined, and Q2 2026 revenue of $53.4 billion for the 35 against $11.5 billion for Anthropic, with SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Adobe, Intuit and 26 smaller logos

The 26 smaller ones are AppFolio, Asana, Box, Braze, DocuSign, Dropbox, Duolingo, Elastic, Figma, Five9, Freshworks, GitLab, HubSpot, Intapp, Klaviyo, LiveRamp, monday.com, Paycom, Paylocity, Pega, RingCentral, Sprinklr, UiPath, Upwork, Wix and Zeta Global. What they share, in the original chart, is a flag: moderate to high risk of disruption from Anthropic.

Two caveats. The $948 billion and $53.4 billion totals come from @SergeyCYW's chart of October 14, 2026. I did not recount the 35 filings myself, and many of the 35 close their fiscal quarters off the calendar. And software prices have moved since. After the close on October 28, ServiceNow fell 18% on its guidance, and Salesforce and Workday dropped about 5%, 24/7 Wall St. reported. The combined value is lower today, so the multiple is wider.

How Much Revenue Does Anthropic Make Compared to SaaS?

Anthropic made $11.555 billion in Q2 2026, according to its S-1. The 35 SaaS companies made $53.4 billion in the same quarter, 4.6 times more. So the 35 bring in 4.6 times the revenue and are worth half as much. That is the whole chart in one line.

Anthropic's quarterly revenue and operating result in USD, from its S-1 filed with the SEC (read October 30, 2026)
QuarterRevenueOperating income (loss)
Q1 2025$376 million($935 million)
Q2 2025$787 million($1.2 billion)
Q3 2025$1.382 billion($3.089 billion)
Q4 2025$2.040 billion($2.836 billion)
Q1 2026$4.731 billion($1.667 billion)
Q2 2026$11.555 billion$974 million

The chart rounds Q2 to $11.5 billion. Most press rounds it to $11.6 billion. Both come from the same $11,555 million line. Revenue grew 1,368% from Q2 2025, and Q2 2026 was the first quarter with an operating profit. The net loss was still $66.3 billion, most of it from the changing value of convertible notes, derivatives and SAFEs.

One more number moves the picture. Anthropic told investors it made $16.8 billion in Q3 2026, CNBC reported. That number is not in the S-1. Set against the 35's Q2, the revenue gap drops from 4.6 times to about 3.2 times. The full revenue race with OpenAI, gross against net, is in my piece on Anthropic vs OpenAI revenue.

Why Is Anthropic's Valuation Higher Than SaaS Companies?

Because the market prices growth, and Anthropic grew its quarterly revenue almost fifteen times in a year. The 35 SaaS companies are priced like mature businesses. Anthropic is priced like a company that will take a large share of what they sell. The multiples below are my calculations: quarterly revenue times four, against the valuation.

Valuation to annualized revenue, my calculation from the figures above (Q2 or Q3 2026 revenue times four)
CompanyValuationAnnualized revenueMultiple
35 SaaS combined$948 billion$213.6 billion (Q2)4.4x
Anthropic at the Series H$965 billion$47 billion run-rate (May)20.5x
Anthropic at $2 trillion$2 trillion$46.2 billion (Q2)43x
Anthropic at $2 trillion$2 trillion$67.2 billion (Q3, reported)30x

Here is the math that matters. If Anthropic traded at the same 4.4x as the 35, a $2 trillion price would need about $450 billion of yearly revenue. At 10x it would need $200 billion. That is close to the $213.6 billion the 35 bring in together each year, on an annualized basis.

That is what I meant on LinkedIn. The market is pricing the revenue Anthropic still has to take, and most of it sits inside those 35 bars. Investors are betting that a big slice of what companies spend on software today will be spent on Claude instead.

Which SaaS Companies Are Most at Risk From Anthropic?

The most exposed are tools that sell seats for work an AI agent can now do: drafting, support replies, simple workflows, design and reporting. The least exposed hold data a company cannot move easily, like payroll, finance and ERP. This is my reading of the market. Here is the test I would run on any tool you pay for.

  1. Does it charge per seat for a task Claude can do from a prompt? If yes, its price will fall or its seats will shrink.
  2. Is it the system of record for money, people or contracts? If yes, an agent will work on top of it before it replaces it.
  3. Does it sell a workflow you could rebuild with Claude Code in a week? If yes, expect a cheaper copy within a year.
  4. Has its stock fallen more than the software index this year? The market may already be giving its answer.

This year already showed it. By early February, after Anthropic launched Claude Cowork and a legal automation tool, Adobe's market cap had fallen from $350 billion at its peak to $107 billion, Invezz reported. ServiceNow traded at $109, against a high of $239. The iShares software ETF, IGV, had dropped from $117 to $85.

When Is the Anthropic IPO and When Will It Have a Real Market Cap?

On its first trading day on Nasdaq under the ticker ANT. Anthropic filed its S-1 publicly on October 26, 2026. The share count and price range were not set on that date. Bloomberg reported that marketing could start the week of November 9 and trading before November 26. The timing can still change.

When the price range comes out, you can work out the real number yourself: midpoint price times all shares outstanding after the offering. Watch the share classes. The S-1 lists five classes: A, N, T, E and F. Class T is a single share, and Classes E and F carry no economic rights. The number that matters is Class A plus Class N.

What Does Anthropic's Valuation Mean If You Buy Software?

It means your software budget is about to be renegotiated, by you or by your vendors. Vendors under pressure will bundle AI, change pricing and fight for renewals. You will also be tempted to cancel seats and replace them with agents. Do both with numbers in hand.

My rule: before you renew a tool, price the same job with Claude for one month. If the agent does 80% of it at a fraction of the cost, cancel or renegotiate. If it needs a person to fix every output, keep the tool and use the quote as leverage.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy Anthropic stock before the IPO?

Not on a public exchange. Until ANT starts trading on Nasdaq, the tokens and contracts sold as Anthropic stock on crypto sites are not Anthropic shares. They are products that track a price. Real pre-IPO shares change hands only privately, through secondary deals and funds open to accredited investors.

How much is Anthropic worth?

Anthropic was valued at $965 billion in its Series H on May 28, 2026, the last price paid for its shares. For its Nasdaq IPO, reports by Bloomberg and Reuters put the value between $1.5 trillion and $2 trillion. The real figure depends on the price range, which was not set when the S-1 was filed on October 26, 2026.

Is Anthropic a public company?

Not yet. Anthropic filed its S-1 registration statement publicly with the SEC on October 26, 2026 and plans to list its Class A common stock on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol ANT. Until shares start trading there is no stock price and no market cap, only private valuations and estimates.

What is Anthropic's stock ticker?

Anthropic intends to list on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker ANT, according to its October 26, 2026 announcement. Shares cannot be bought on a public exchange before the IPO prices. Anything sold as Anthropic stock before then is a private secondary share, a fund stake or a derivative that tracks the company.

Is Anthropic worth more than Salesforce?

Yes. Salesforce's market cap was about $220 billion in October 2026, according to Trading Economics. Anthropic was valued at $965 billion in May 2026, more than four times that, and the $2 trillion IPO estimate would be about nine times.

How much revenue does Anthropic make?

Anthropic made $11.555 billion of revenue in Q2 2026 and $16.3 billion in the first half of the year, according to its S-1. CNBC reported $16.8 billion for Q3 2026. That figure is still unaudited. Full-year 2025 revenue was about $4.6 billion. Q2 2026 was its first quarter with an operating profit, $974 million.
